We've Been DIBEL-ed. Now What?

Have piles of collected data? Now is the time to group those kiddos and start running Guided Reading and Intervention groups!

For K-1 classrooms it is really important to look at the Phonemic Awareness skills your students have brought to the classroom. When looking at DIBELS, this would be your First Sound Fluency (FSF) and Phoneme Segmentation Fluency (PSF). Although these 2 skills should be mastered in Kindergarten, we often find 1st Grade students with some deficiencies. You can also use simple quick assessment tools like this Phonemic Awareness Checklist.

EVERY KID NEEDS A CHAMPION!
